Education is a basic right for every child. However, not all children get the same chance to learn, especially girls from weaker sections of society. To make sure girls can study without worry, the Government of Maharashtra has introduced many helpful programs.
One such important program is the Savitribai Phule Scholarship, designed to help girls from Scheduled Caste (SC) families. This scholarship provides monthly financial support to female students who are studying in classes 5 to 10.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this scholarship, the applicant must:
- Be an Indian citizen.
- Be a resident (domicile) of Maharashtra.
- Belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category.
- Be a girl studying in classes 5 to 10 in a government or aided school.
- Students from self-financed schools are not eligible.
- There is no income limit for the family.
- If the student fails in a class, she cannot receive the scholarship again until she passes that class.
- The student must attend at least 60% of the school days to get the second part of the scholarship.
Savitribai Phule Scholarship Benefits
The Savitribai Phule Scholarship provides financial help every month to eligible students. The benefit depends on the class in which the student is currently studying:
- For students in Classes 5 to 7: ₹60 per month for 10 months
- For students in Classes 8 to 10: ₹100 per month for 10 months
This amount is given in two instalments during the school year. If the student joins late in the year, she will receive the money only for the months she attends school.
Selection Process
There is no exam for selection. If the student meets all the rules mentioned in the eligibility section, she will be selected for the scholarship. Proper documents must be submitted, and details must be filled out correctly during the application process.

- Click on the ‘Register’ button and fill in your details. (If already registered, log in using your credentials.)
- Select the ‘New Applicant Registration’ option on the dashboard.
- Enter personal details, verify email and phone number, and complete the captcha to finish registration.
- After registering, click on ‘Applicant Login’ on the dashboard.
- Log in with your username and password.
- Fill in the application form, upload the required documents, and submit your application.
