Who Can Apply
Only Indian students are allowed to apply for this fellowship. The student should be under 30 years old as on May 1, 2025. Also, the candidate must be currently pursuing either MD or PhD in the fields of Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The applicant should have already completed at least the first year of their MD or PhD course. It is also necessary that the student has completed a research project. Candidates who have already finished their MD or PhD studies are not eligible.
Finally, the applicant must be ready to present their research work in front of expert judges during the final assessment round.
What Does the Fellowship Offer
Selected candidates will receive:
- A cash prize of ₹1,00,000.
- A certificate of recognition.
- A grant of another ₹1,00,000 to attend any one international conference (for paper or poster presentation).
- Airfare, boarding, and lodging will be covered for the award ceremony.
- An invitation to the annual symposium to meet leading scientists and researchers.

Required Documents
Applicants need to upload the following on the official website:
- A detailed CV with a photograph.
- Full copy of their research work (including title, methods, results, discussion, etc.).
- A certificate from the supervisor stating that the research was done by the applicant.
- A forwarding letter from the Head of Department or Institution.
- A declaration to work in a research/academic institution for at least two years after completing studies.
- Mention the category (Biomedical or Pharmaceutical).
- Ethical clearance certificate (if available).
- No conflict of interest declaration signed by the nominee and the supervisor.
- Academic details:
- Class XII scores in PCB/PCM, attempts, and year of passing.
- Graduation and postgraduation marks, attempts, and year.
- List of publications (if any) with journal name and article details.
- Awards, scholarships, and achievements.
- Age proof.
How Candidates Are Selected
All applications are reviewed carefully based on set guidelines and the quality of the research project. Three subject experts from each category will score the nominations. The top five candidates in both the Biomedical and Pharmaceutical fields will be shortlisted.
These shortlisted candidates will then be invited to present their research in front of the assessors and an academic audience. They must be prepared to answer questions related to their work.
Final selection will be based on the votes of the assessors. In case of a tie, the award will be shared.
