Who Can Apply?
To apply for this scholarship, the student must meet a few simple conditions:
The student should live in West Bengal or Jharkhand. They must have passed the Class 12 exam in the year 2025 from a recognised school. The marks must be 85% or more in WBCHSE/JAC or 90% or more in ISC/CBSE. The student should also have already taken admission in a recognised undergraduate college or university in India.
The yearly income of the family should be less than ₹3,00,000. However, if a student is extremely bright and has scored very well, they may still be considered even if the income is higher.
What Are the Benefits?
This scholarship gives many useful benefits to students. The selected students will receive ₹50,000 every year. This money will help in paying the college tuition fees and hostel expenses (if needed).
In the first year, students will also get ₹7,000 one-time to buy books and study materials. This support is available for any stream – Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, Law, Medicine, and even professional courses like CA, CS, or Cost Accountancy if done along with a graduation degree.
The scholarship is given for one year at first, but it can be renewed every year for up to 4 years, if the student does well in college and completes the course on time.
